Hyderabad: India Metal One Steel Plate Processing (IMOP) Pvt Ltd, a Japanese company in Sri City, has significantly bolstered the infrastructure of the SSBKR Zilla Parishad High School in Aravapalem, Chittamuru Mandal, with the inauguration of a newly constructed multi-purpose hall. Designed with a provision to bifurcate into two classrooms and equipped with modern desks and benches, this initiative was implemented under IMOP’s CSR programme with the support of the Sri City Foundation. The project was completed at an investment of Rs29.50 lakh.
At a ceremony held at the school, Taizo Iwami, Managing Director of IMOP, inaugurated and formally handed over the hall to the headmistress Prabhavati, in the presence of Tane Gawa of IMOP, Dr Ravindra Sannareddy, Founder Managing Director, Sri City, Nireesha Sannareddy, Director (CSR), Sri City and Hariharan, CFO, IMOP. Iwami expressed his pride in contributing to the education sector, affirming IMOP’s ongoing commitment to community development.
Dr Sannareddy, an alumnus of the school, remarked, “It gives me immense satisfaction to be part of this upgrade. Giving back to the school and the community where I was raised is both a privilege and a responsibility.”
Nireesha Sannareddy commended IMOP for their sustained support, noting that Sri City Foundation’s partnerships with corporate entities have led to marked improvements in government school infrastructure and student enrolment.
During the event, Dr. Sannareddy recognised student Y Bhavya, who was selected for the state throw-ball team, with a cash award of Rs5,000 for her sporting excellence.
Mandal Educational Officers Krishnaiah and Varaprasad, school faculty, and senior executives from IMOP and Sri City Foundation were present.
Over the past five years, IMOP has invested over Rs1.6 crore in educational and social infrastructure projects in the region. Notable contributions include an ambulance for the Sri City Industrial Area Local Authority, a Universal Testing Machine for steel testing, digital classrooms at SV Government Polytechnic College, Tirupati, and equipment for the District Fire Department.
